Calling all Ducks

Two yellow ducklings were born when a girl, aged ten, put free-range eggs into an incubator for a special science experiment. Her name is Jessica Sanscom and she is now the proud owner of them. She has called them Splish and Splosh.

The box of eggs were purchased from a Waitrose store in Surrey. The two ducks hatched when they had been taken home to Devon and carefully placed into an incubator to keep them warm. They now have been put with a flock of forty other birds also owned by the family.

“We are surprised at this.”  A Waitrose spokesman confesses. “Usually, only female birds make up a flock.”

So, the little ducks are now very happy to be out of their eggs because as you can imagine they are now getting a lot of attention from Jessica and her family.
